22/03/2018 · One thing that takes some getting used to is, someone sitting on 50% health is perfectly fine in ffxiv. Damage is predictable and regular. It’s ok to leave someone not entirely topped off, if it becomes a problem, Eos will handle it, and if they aren’t enough, well that’s why SCH has excellent OGCD burst healing.
And as Seles said your pet can’t use Physick, Adloquium, and Lustrate. Honestly I would get rid of the /pac part entirely, the only way it works is if Embrace is off cooldown and your pet is idle. There is some fiddling you can do with changing her stances to cancel whatever she is casting, but it’s too fiddly and isn’t worth it in my opinion.

Yesterday I ran brayflox as a scholar to say it was rough was an understatement. I have read that at higher levels it’s better for me to put my pet on obey and use its spells myself however during the heavy damage parts of the final boss it didn’t feel like I would have time to manage her effectively. 03/06/2014 · I think, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but a lot of Scholars like to “place” their pet for positioning reasons. “Obey” then “Heel” puts them back into a semi-passive state where they will only cast “Embrace” and then follow you again so they don’t get stuck in a previous room and automatically withdraw.

I love that scholar has the ability to contribute to damage like a diet summoner, but I don’t like having to remember Cleric Stance on top of all the other spells. Having a macro do it for me would rock… By the way Sumding, just in case someone wants to copy over your macros, you spelled “Physick” and “Adloquium” wrong. 😉

30/10/2016 · If the target is out of range of the fairy and you tell her to cast embrace on the target, she will move to heal them. However, I don’t recommend using macros in FFXIV. Maybe use macros to print something to the chat like notifying that you’re raising someone, but nothing that contains multiple actions, there’s a delay with using them.
This is the macro for targeting marked targets. /ta In the example above, this targets the target marked as attack 1. I personally like to set my F1 key for /ta F2 for /ta and so on. Everyone has their flaws. So I created macros to help me with pet actions and swapping bars. The idea is to have nearly identical cross-bars for set 8 but with different pet abilities depending on which fairy was summoned.
